    George Dickstein, MD
    Dr. Dickstein joined Greater Boston Gastroenterology, PC in 2001 after practicing in Waltham, MA where he served as Chief of GI at Deaconess Waltham Hospital and where he still maintains a satellite office. A recipient of the Community Newspaper's Group Peoples Choice Award, Dr. Dickstein will become Chief (President) of the medical staff at Metrowest Medical Center in 2008. Interested in disorders of the bile ducts and pancreas, Dr. Dickstein is trained in ERCP, a technique that enables stones, tumors, and painful conditions of the bile ducts and pancreas to be treated in a minimally invasive manner without the need for surgery. Dr. Dickstein is experienced in performing capsule endoscopy and is trained in endoscopic reflux repair techniques. An expert in the evaluation and management of cholestatic and advanced liver disease, Dr. Dickstein serves on the medical advisory committee of the American Liver Foundation. A graduate of Cornell University with honors and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with distinction, Dr. Dickstein is published in the fields of liver disease, GI bleeeding, and circulatory (ischemic) disorders of the GI tract. Also on staff at Newton Wellesley Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Dickstein is accepting new patients and participates in all insurance plans.
