    Jaime A. Oviedo, MD FACG
    Dr. Jaime Oviedo joined Greater Boston Gastroenterology, PC after five years on staff as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center where he was among the busiest endoscopists in the hospital. A manuscript reviewer for the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine and a contributing author for many standard and on-line textbooks (including the famous Cecil's Essentials of Medicine), Dr Oviedo is a nationally recognized expert in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of peptic ulcer disease and GI bleeding. Dr. Oviedo has also published articles or done research in the fields of acid reflux disease, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. He also brings extensive experience with acute and chronic liver disease (hepatitis and cirrhosis) Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Oviedo accepts all insurance plans and, like all members of Greater Boston Gastroenterology, PC, is happily accepting new patients and referrals.
